Martin and Frances Scott-Brown faced a decision that no parent would want to face.
Knowing that their child would be born with a severe brain abnormality, and would be unlikely to survive long outside the womb, there was strong pressure to terminate the pregnancy. 'There was an expectation that no one in their right mind would carry on [with the pregnancy]', says Frances.
And yet they decided to bring Millie into this world, and her brief life enriched the lives of those who knew and loved her.
Martin says: 'We loved her because of who she was, nothing to do with what she could or couldn't do'.
This video would be a great discussion starter or extra resource to share with your Human Journey group.
